Both Josh Reid and Paul Maravetz founded Rome Snowboards (Or Rome Snowboard Design Syndicate) in 2001. Reid and Maravetz both worked on product development and marketing for Burton Snowboards before they decided to start their own company. They teamed up with snowboarders like Jonaven Moore. Rome Snowboards first only sold snowboards and accessories direct to their customers. But now they have a wider variety of items to be sold to their customers, some of witch has come out more recently like season outwear, boots, and also bindings. They sell all their products for men and woman. Rome Snowboards manufacturer is located in Waterbury, Vermont. But Rome Snowboards is also now owned by Burton Snowboards Company.
Rome Snowboards have a different view on the sport of snowboarding than other companies do in that their brand ties into the “cultural foundation” of snowboarding. Rome Snowboards believes that snowboarding isn’t a knock off of a skiing company. They believe that snowboarding is more about the fun on the snow. That’s why you know that you can get a very good board that isn’t a rip off and still have fun. While Rome Snowboards is the type of company that cares more about the fun of the sport, they still make good profit because of their dedication.
Rome Snowboards have their snowboards shown off by some of the great snowboarders whose tricks and stunts are popular among many riders. Some of these riders are Max Legend, Jesse Fox, Marie-France Roy, Casey Neefus, Marius Otterstad, and Bjorn Leines. Rome Snowboards has different features to their boards. The things you can adjust on your board is the camber profile, different core technology, different laminate technology, and control core matrices. These features to the boards give you a free, playful, and press happy design of camber.
